The Cuervo y Sobrinos brand was founded in 1882 by Don Cuervo and his nephews. This group of remarkable entrepreneurs and highly skilled goldsmiths came from Asturias, a region in north-western Spain. Historiador Asturias is a tribute to the courageous emigrants who sailed to America in the 19th century in search of fortune. Cuba became a popular choice for intrepid Asturians who were eager to discover a new world and make a better life for themselves.
Based on the success of the Historiador Asturias , Cuervo y Sobrinos has added a new model to its extensive collection. The Historiador Asturias Pequeños Segundos watch shares some of the physical characteristics of its older sibling, but on this occasion only displays hours, minutes and seconds. The watch is free of unnecessary details, allowing us to enjoy the display of time in a clean, elegant form.
The case of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Asturias Pequeños Segundos 3102.1ASA is made of stainless steel. Inside is a Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding CYS 5159 (the base is the Sellita SW 261). It operates at 28800 A/h, is fitted with 31 jewels and boasts a power reserve of 38 hours. The oscillating weight with engraving is also an interesting detail. The movement's operation can be enjoyed thanks to a transparent sapphire crystal dial.
The clear, elegant dial is finished in silver. Thanks to the clear blue hands, we have a perfect overview of the time. The off-centre seconds hand is located at 6. Everything is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
With a case diameter of 40 mm, the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Asturias Pequeños Segundos 3102.1ASA fits most men's wrists. It is complemented by a dark blue leather strap. Water resistance is set at 5 ATM, so the watch can handle light contact with water, for example when washing hands.
