The Cuervo y Sobrinos brand celebrates its birthplace, Havana, with the launch of the new Historiador 1519. This latest model is adorned with eye-catching details and imbued with period charm. Above all, this watch captures the character of the Cuban capital with its rich tones and Latin American passion.
The case of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador 1519 3195.1BL is made of stainless steel. Inside is a Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding CYS 5104 (the base is Peseux 224). It operates at a frequency of 28800 A/ha and boasts a running reserve of 38 hours. We can enjoy the machine's operation thanks to the transparent dial.
The ingeniously decorated dial features many textures and finishes. Applied faceted hour indexes connect the outer track and colour ring to the central part of the dial. This is followed by a circular grained section with applied brand name and a stylized 12-hour scale, which also includes a date window. Finally, the central section features an Art Deco-style guilloche pattern and a key emblem to close it. This key emblem is an element found in the Cuban national emblem. The time is indicated by Breguet-style hour and minute hands and a mallet-shaped seconds hand in gold. All protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
With a case diameter of 40 mm, the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador 1519 3195.1BL fits most men's wrists. The watch comes with a colour-matched leather strap. Water resistance is set at 5 ATM, so the watch can handle lighter contact with water, for example when washing hands.
