When it comes to partnerships, Cuervo y Sobrinos and the Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC) go hand in hand. Since 1882, Havana has been the spiritual home of Cuervo y Sobrinos. Cuba's capital is also synonymous with the production of fine cigars. The very mention of Havana conjures up thoughts of glamour, style and luxury.
A unique event created by cigar expert Marko Bilic celebrated its 10th anniversary in style and to mark the occasion, Cuervo y Sobrinos is launching three special editions of its Esplendidos collection.
The watches come in three versions. One version for the World Champion - winner of the Grand Final in Split (30 August 2019): this watch is a unique piece with a cream/champagne colour. The other version with a very elegant silver dial is for the winner of the main international qualification (one country, one winner). Finally, Cuervo y Sobrinos has created a limited edition for cigar lovers with a typical tobacco-coloured dial: an exclusive edition of just 80 pieces, available at all CSWC events worldwide.
The case of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Esplendidos CSWC 2414.1CCSWC is made of stainless steel. Inside is a Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding CYS 5102 (based on the ETA 2892-A2) with a power reserve of 42 hours. The clear dial is decorated with the printed CSWC logo, with a handy date display below. Everything is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
With a case diameter of 35 x 47 mm, the Cuervo y Sobrinos Esplendidos CSWC 2414.1CCSWC fits most men's wrists. You can strap it to your wrist thanks to the alligator leather strap. The 3 ATM water resistance rating indicates that the watch can handle moderate contact with water, such as in the rain.
