The Citizen Skyhawk JY8079-76E Red Arrow - Limited Edition is a limited edition watch with a total of 9999 pieces produced. This watch is perfect for lovers of precise time, which is displayed by multi-frequency radio time control. This model is powered by solar energy (Eco-Drive), eliminating the need to replace the battery. This makes this piece especially suitable for everyday wear.
The case including the bracelet of the Citizen JY8079-76E watch is made of stainless steel. Inside this case works Citizen's in-house movement U680, which offers absolutely accurate time thanks to the Radio-Controlled system, i.e. synchronizing the time using a radio signal. You can also rely on other functions such as battery indication, overcharge prevention, undercharge warning with two-second jumps of the second hand, or switching to power saving mode. You can also use the stopwatch function, automatic calendar (showing day, month and year), time zones, daylight saving time, UTC, timer, alarm clock 2x, display illumination, energy saving mode 1 and 2, impact detection function or, for example, a logarithmic lunette for simple slide rule calculations.
This model is powered by Eco-Drive technology, a light-charged battery with a runtime reserve of up to 6 months (up to 42 months in power saving mode). This eliminates the need to replace the battery. The water resistance of this watch is 200 m, so it can easily handle contact with water, such as swimming or diving. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which provides maximum protection against scratches.
The back of the watch case features the emblem of the RED ARROW unit, otherwise known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, an aerobatic team of the British Air Force founded in 1964. The emblem depicts the red arrows that have a prominent place in British popular culture. These depict aircraft in their diamond trademark formation of nine planes, with the motto Éclat, a French word meaning "brilliance" or "perfection".
