The Citizen Attesa Satellite Wave GPS Hakuto-R Collaboration Limited Edition CC4067-66E men's watch is the ideal companion for lovers of precise time and individuals who are often on the move, especially thanks to its features. This limited edition was produced in only 2300 units for the whole world.
Both the case and the watch's movement are made of Super Titanium™ with a DLC treatment (in this case, the Duratect DLC method), thus achieving a light weight and ensuring total anti-allergy. Inside the case works the in-house Citizen F950 movement, which offers GPS satellite time control, where the time changes automatically according to position based on the received signals (when triggered by the reception of a GPS signal including the location). This movement has the fastest GPS signal reception in the world - the signal can be received in just 3 seconds! There is the possibility of time indication in 40 time zones and 27 cities. It also features the Eco-Drive, which eliminates the need for regular battery replacement. The watch battery is recharged by light and this particular model offers a running reserve of up to 1.5 years on a full charge (5 years in power saving mode). Other functions of the watch are associated with this system, such as overcharging protection, indication of the charge level, or indication of the intensity of the incident light - the intensity of charging is distinguished in 7 levels.
The sub-dial at position 3 is an indicator of the selected mode - stopwatch, alarm, manual time and calendar setting, light level indication, UTC. The sub-dial at position 6 is a dual time indicator and 9 then shows the day of the week, charge status, daylight saving time function. At the same time, these two sub-dials are counters when the chronograph mode is selected - the stopwatch can be controlled by the side buttons - the upper button starts and stops the stopwatch, the lower one resets the measured values. The stopwatch is capable of measuring a time period of up to 24 hours with 1/20th of a second accuracy.
The unique dial, on which the indexes and hands of bright colours stand out, is protected by a sapphire crystal that is maximally scratch-resistant. The crystal is coated with an anti-reflective layer, ensuring excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. In addition to the above-mentioned functions, the watch has a date and day of the week display, alarm, stopwatch (i.e. chronograph function), or dual time.
With a water resistance of 100 m, the watch will allow its owners to use it when in contact with water, such as swimming. Better legibility in lower light conditions is ensured by the luminescence applied to the indices and hands.
This model was made in honor of Citizen's collaboration with the Japanese company ispace, which is engaged in robotic exploration of the moon. In 2019, Citizen became an official partner of Hakuto-R, the company's commercial lunar program. As part of this collaboration, Citizen is providing its high-end Super Titanium™ to manufacture the legs of the lunar lander for the Hakuto-R program. The Hakuto-R logo can be found on the watch face. This unique limited edition was produced in 2300 pieces for the whole world.
Attesa is an Italian word translated as "expectation". Citizen produced the first watch with this name in 1987 and its main feature was titanium. This is still the case today, although other great Citizen technologies such as the solar-powered Eco-Drive or radio control or GPS have been added.
