The Chronotechna SeaQuest Dive Nanga Parbat watch is the second watch from the newly relaunched Chronotechna brand. It boasts 300m water resistance, a new more robust design and a hand-cut titanium dial. The watch has a 42mm case, sapphire crystal, X1 grade Super-Luminova and a COSC-certified Sellita SW-200-1 Swiss movement.

You don't have to worry about taking it into tough conditions, and the watch repays you with great legibility even deep underwater.

The steel case (316L) houses a grey titanium dial, silver hands and the overall impression is so nicely connected to the frosty environment of the mountain tops. The lunette is a diving unidirectional rotating lens with a ceramic insert.

If the black dial of the Chronotechna watch evokes the mysterious depths of the world's deepest oceans, what would its counterpart look like - a dial that pays homage to the freezing, rugged and snowy peaks of the world's highest mountains? Our design team, in collaboration with one of the world's top mountaineers, Mark Holecek, found the answer in the form of a dial made of hand-cut titanium that, with its rawness, coldness and unmistakable shine, reflects the age-old human desire to climb the highest peaks on Earth. The limited edition of 20 SeaQuest Dive Nanga Parbat is named after the world's 9th highest mountain, which boasts the world's highest rock face (4,600 metres) and is Mark Holecek's favourite peak. He'll be wearing the SeaQuest Dive Nanga Parbat on his future expeditions, which is why the watch needs to retain all the features that made you love it underwater - a solid 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, an extremely precise Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movement with COSC certification, a layer of SuperLuminova luminescence on all hands and lunette for great readability in the dark, and of course, water resistance to a depth of 300 metres.

NANGA PARBAT OR NAKED MOUNTAIN

There aren't many more interesting peaks in the world than Nanga Parbat. With a height of 8,125 metres, it is the 9th highest mountain in the world, but from a climbing perspective it is a unique peak that has attracted all adventurers and adrenaline lovers for almost 130 years. This is due, among other things, to its south face, which at 4,600 metres is the highest in the world. Marek Holeček has climbed the eight-thousanders twice, the first time in 2012, but he is still drawn back to try to climb the summit this time via the dreaded south face.

A CLIMBER WHO IS ATTRACTED TO UNTRODDEN PATHS

He doesn't go to the mountains for glory or trophies, but to find the freedom he has longed for since childhood. Marek Holeček's climbing has been made visible by his demanding alpine-style ascents, without oxygen bombs, with the help of ice axes and frequent first ascents. He does not choose peaks according to their height, but rather according to their difficulty and climbing attractiveness. Thanks to his will, indomitability, a dose of madness and determination, he has already claimed the first ascent of the west face of Baruntse (7,162 m), the southwest face of Gasherbrum I (8,080 m) or the northwest face of Chamlang (7,319 m). In 2018 and 2020 he won the prestigious Piolet d'Or award, nicknamed the Oscar of mountaineering.
