Freediver David Vencl, the holder of the record from 2021, when he swam 81 meters under the frozen surface in one breath and without a wetsuit, is preparing another record attempt in March. He will attempt to dive to great depths in icy water without a wetsuit and an oxygen tank. To what depth, he's not telling. Fingers crossed!

The Chronotechna SeaQuest Dive Frozen Deep is the second watch from the newly relaunched Chronotechna brand. It boasts 300m water resistance, a new more robust design and a striking gradient dark blue dial. The watch has a 42mm case, sapphire crystal, X1 grade Super-Luminova and a COSC-certified Sellita SW200-1 Swiss movement.

You don't have to worry about taking it into challenging conditions, and the watch repays you with great legibility even deep underwater.

The steel case (316L) houses a dark blue dial with silver hands, its gradient design reminiscent of the mystical world of the frozen deep. The lunette is a diving unidirectional rotating lunette with a ceramic insert with 120 cranks. Also worth mentioning is the Zuludiver strap made of maximum-resistant FKM rubber, which can handle salt water, chemicals and temperatures ranging from -45 to +300 degrees Celsius.

Only 15 of the SeaQuest Dive Frozen Deep watches were produced, one of which will be worn by David Vencl on his dive, and the remaining owners of this limited edition will have the opportunity to watch this performance on-site in the Austrian Alps in early March. "No one has ever tried to dive without a wetsuit and an oxygen tank in water with a temperature of around zero to great depths. No one knows if it is humanly possible, and that's what I find interesting", says David Vencl.
