The Casio G-Shock GW-B5600CD-9ER Charles Darwin Foundation Collaboration is a sports watch that offers a multitude of features combined with a modern design. It features a solar-powered and radio-controlled movement, complete with the ability to connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
The Casio G-Shock GW-B5600CD-9ER is a special edition created in collaboration with the Charles Darwin Foundation, of which Casio is a partner. The Charles Darwin Foundation, founded with the support of UNESCO and IUCN, is a non-profit organization that has been at the forefront of scientific research and conservation efforts in the Galapagos Islands since 1959.One of its aims is to pres erve the remarkable biodiversity of this island, which can be described without exaggeration as one of the most important natural wonders of the world. Currently, the Charles Darwin Foundation oversees more than 25 projects focused on research, conservation and education, both on land and at sea.
To celebrate the three creatures commonly found in the Galapagos, Casio, in partnership with the Charles Darwin Foundation, has launched three G-Shock GW-B5600CD models, each featuring a different colour inspired by the hammerhead shark, Darwin's finch or the Galapagos giant tortoise. Each of the creatures is referenced by a special bezel around the display, a silhouette that appears when the backlight is activated, a strap loop and also a specially marked dial. The bottom of the straps is decorated with the inscription Apoyo la conservación de Galápagos (I support the conservation of Galápagos), which refers to the commitment and goal of the Foundation.
Casio G-Shock GW B5600CD-9 have a digital display that shows the date, day of the week, stopwatch, alarm and other functions. The watch's durable plastic case is complemented by a rubber strap, both made from bio-based resins. The display is protected by a mineral glass. A useful feature is the ability to synchronise the watch with a smartphone via Bluetooth technology. The connection, in conjunction with the use of the appropriate mobile application(CASIO WATCHES), allows you to keep the time under control at all times, offers the possibility of easy setting of dual time by selecting one of the predefined cities, setting a daily alarm, other useful features include Phone finder - when you press the watch button, your phone will sound and you can find it more easily.
This model has a solar and radio-controlled movement, ensuring consistently accurate time and long running. The watch's battery, powered by natural and artificial light, has a lifespan of around 7 to 10 years and is then replaced in exactly the same way as a conventional battery. The case diameter of 42.8 mm makes it a medium-sized watch. The water resistance of this model is 200 m, so you can swim and indulge in various water sports without any problems.
