The Bulova SHELBY® Racer Chronograph 98B452 was created as a tribute to legendary American designer and racer Carroll Shelby, whose name has become an icon in the world of muscle cars. The model is part of Bulova's 150th anniversary celebrations and also represents an exceptional limited edition of 7,500 pieces for the whole world.

The Bulova SHELBY® Racer is the result of a new collaboration to bring together the worlds of motorsport and precision watchmaking technology. The design was inspired by the 1967 Shelby Ford Mustang GT500, whose power, elegance and aerodynamic lines the watch mirrors in both appearance and function.

The watch's steel case of unconventional bullhead construction with chronograph pushers and a crown located at the top is 43 mm in diameter. An interesting detail is the grooved side profile of the case, which is reminiscent of racing stripes on a car body. The case is complemented by a comfortable blue and white rubber strap, whose stripes perfectly complement the overall look of the watch. The strap is finished with a fold-over clasp with side opening.
The dial in deep blue is highlighted by silver sub-dials and complemented by a tachymetric scale on a black bezel. At the 3 o'clock position, we find the subtle Shelby Cobra logo, which underlines the racing character of the model. The dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

The watch is powered by a Bulova Precisionist high-precision quartz (HPQ) movement, operating at a high frequency of 262 kHz. This enables extremely precise measurement and smooth running of the second hand. The stopwatch measures to an accuracy of 1/1000th of a second and can measure periods of up to 12 hours. The watch also features a date display at the half past five position. A button at the 5 o'clock position is used to switch between the classic time display and the stopwatch mode.
The water resistance of the watch is 50 m, which is sufficient for normal contact with water during hand washing and rain.

The limited edition is limited to 7500 pieces. Each watch has an individually numbered dial signed by Carroll Shelby. The package also includes a 1:24 scale model of the Shelby GT500 collector car, elevating the entire set to an interesting gift and an obvious choice for automotive fans.
