Bulova Hack Watch 98A255 is a reference to the brand's collaboration with the U.S. Army and the historic Bulova MIL-W-3818A pilot's watch model, which was developed specifically for military use and deployment in action.
The Archive Series, aiming to commemorate the iconic Bulova models that have made history with their designs, use, etc., after the highly successful Bulova Lunar Pilot, Devil Diver, Computron and Joseph Bulova, comes with a military-style watch that has made its design fully subordinate to function. The Bulova Hack Watch 98A255 is reminiscent of the military Bulova 3818A model developed in the 1950s for the US Army, with the excellent function of setting the exact time thanks to the possibility of stopping the second hand, the so-called hacking, hence the name Hack. Time and therefore its precise setting played a very important role in military operations not only in the past, which is why the name of the Hack series came into use for watches from the 1940s. The new model, like the original, offers a distinctive look of a field watch but with modern elements.
The steel case with grey PVD finish is complemented by a green leather NATO strap. The model stands out for its excellent legibility and easy clarity, which is required for military watches. The dial, which in its form does not deny the military model, is protected by a mineral crystal. The case diameter of 38 mm makes the watch wearable on most men's wrists. The water resistance of the watch is 30 m, so it can withstand accidental contact with water during rain and hand washing.
