The Bulova Frank Sinatra 97B224 Chairman of the Board watch is a limited edition tribute to the legendary artist Frank Sinatra. The exceptional models are characterised by an unmistakable style that was also typical of Sinatra himself. The models are named after Sinatra's most popular songs, in this case"Chairman of the Board".
The case of the Bulova Frank Sinatra 97B224 Chairman of the Board has a rectangular shape, not very common today, but very elegant, imbued with art deco style. The case with stepped sides, shaped into a slight curve, is made of steel and gold-plated with 5 microns of 18k gold. The watch is based on the Bulova President model from 1936. The case design brings a unique style as well as exceptional comfort to the wrist. It is complemented by a brown leather strap, finished with a gold-plated fold-over clasp.
The watch is powered by a Sellita SW100a Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding, crown winding and a power reserve of 42 hours. There is also a date display at the 6 o'clock position. The movement, with a running frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, can be observed thanks to the partially transparent caseback. The caseback bears information about the name of the piece and its inclusion in the collection.
The clear black dial is complemented by golden hands and embossed indices at the hour positions. A spectacular rail minute scale extends around the very perimeter of the dial. The typical Sintara hat of Fedora at the 12 o'clock position, which is inseparably linked to the artist, is an unmistakable element of the dial. The fedora is also signed by the crown. The dial is protected by a double curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. It stands out for its high scratch resistance and excellent legibility. The water resistance of the model is 30 m, it can withstand accidental contact with water during hand washing and rain.
The watch comes in a special wooden box and is limited to only 500 pieces.
