The Alpina Startimer Pilot Quartz Worldtimer AL-255B4S26B is part of the Startimer series and its features and design make it a great choice not only for pilots' wrists, but also for everyday wear.
The steel case houses the AL-255 Swiss battery-powered movement (based on the Ronda 515.24H), which features a GMT function - that is, a second time zone in the form of a fourth hand in 24-hour format and a date display at the traditional third hour position. The GMT hand is complemented by a day and night indication. There is also an internal "Worldtimer" disc, operated by the crown at the fourth hour position. This allows the time to be read in 24 world cities or time zones. The perfectly clear dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is extremely scratch-resistant. The anti-reflective coating then allows for excellent legibility in the harsh sunlight. The lunette around the dial is not rotatable.
The AL-255B4S26B model comes with a practical steel bracelet and, thanks to the 41 mm case diameter, fits perfectly on most men's wrists. The water resistance of this watch is 100m, so it can easily handle swimming, for example.
