The Alpina Alpiner Carrée Mechanical Heritage 140 Years Limited Edition AL-490SA3C10 is part of the Heritage range and its features and design make it a great choice for everyday wear or for company. This model celebrates 140 years of the Alpina brand and is crafted in the Art Déco style. The feel of the good old days is also enhanced by the original vintage Alpina logo on the dial.

In 2023, the Alpina brand celebrates its 140th anniversary with a model that references the original Art Deco Alpina models with square cases from the 1930s and 1940s. This elegant watch has a case made of silver (AG925) that is polished to a high shine. The small crown is partially recessed in the case, the transparent case back is attached to the case by four small screws. The watch is made in a limited edition of only 14 pieces for the whole world.

The watch is powered by a Swiss mechanical movement with manual winding movement marked AL-490. It is an original 1930s Straub & Co movement that was purchased by Alpina and subsequently restored and repaired. The movement is fitted with 17 jewels, operates at a frequency of 17,000 semi-frequencies per hour and features an off-centre seconds hand in the sub-dial at position 6. The perfectly clear dial is protected by a sapphire crystal which is maximally scratch resistant. The anti-reflective coating ensures excellent legibility even in the harsh sunlight.

The AL-490SA3C10 comes with an elegant ostrich leather strap and, thanks to the case diameter of 29.5 x 35.7 mm, it fits perfectly on most men's wrists. The water resistance of this watch is 30m, so it can handle contact with water such as rain or hand washing.
