The Seiko SPB253J1 Black Series Limited Edition watch from the Prospex series builds on the success of the diving models, a modern remake and homage to the first Seiko 6217-8001 diving watch from 1965, also known as the "62MAS" since its introduction 55 years ago. Now it comes in a new, very interesting black finish, with luminescence in a shade of patina. Inspired by the mysterious world of the night ocean. The model will be available in 5500 pieces.

Night diving brings a completely different experience and view of the underwater world. Many divers are fascinated by this nocturnal mysterious world, making night diving increasingly popular. That is why Seiko is expanding the Black Series with four special models inspired by the underwater world at night. The black case represents the darkness and silence of the night ocean, and the orange colour is inspired by the lights that illuminate it.

Seiko SPB253J1 is powered by an automatic movement 6R35, which features a manual winding, a power reserve of 70 hours and hacking (stopping the seconds hand when setting the time). The watch case with a black finish is protected by a special hardened surface, which makes the watch look like new even when worn for a long time. It is complemented by a brown textile strap. The strap is made using a special Seichu technique to give it several times the strength and durability of ordinary Seiko textile straps.
The clear and easy-to-read dial is protected by an arched sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The luminescence applied to the hands and indices provides better legibility in low light conditions. The luminescence is produced in a slight patina shade, which is perfectly complemented by the orange elements in the form of a minute hand and a 15-minute interval on the lunette.
The 40.5 mm case size model features a rotating bezel with a diving scale for reading the time spent underwater, a screw crown and a caseback. The 200 m water resistance makes it a suitable choice for use in snorkeling and other water activities.

The watch will come in a special package with an extra silicone strap.

Limited edition of 5500 pieces for the whole world, dealers in the Czech Republic will only have units available.
