Seiko also continues in a revolutionary direction with the Seiko Astron SSH001J1, pushing the boundaries further with its new 5X53 calibre designed specifically for the range and offering the most advanced features. The benefits of combining a GPS-controlled and solar-powered movement are retained, and for an even better watch experience, the new Calibre 5X is now faster and its operation more intuitive. In addition, thanks to its use, the watch achieves excellent dimensions with a case height of only 12.2 mm, enhancing the wearing pleasure.
The Seiko Astron SSH001J1 watch stands out for its level of workmanship, unmistakable design, sharp lines, details of the case, bracelet and dial. The time is displayed by a clear analog dial, which also offers a date, day, time of day, dual time display. The individual functions are displayed in well laid out sub-dials. The watch features a fully automatic calendar and the ability to recognize summer and winter time. The movement performs automatic time synchronisation twice a day (once when the dial is exposed to sunlight and the second time at an automatically set time), ensuring absolute accuracy. Of course, it is easy to set world times, either manually or automatically. Changing between the main and dual time display can be achieved at the touch of two buttons.

The case and bracelet of the watch are made of titanium with a special hardened surface that keeps the watch looking like new even when worn. The bracelet is equipped with a clasp allowing easy micro-adjustment. The dial is protected by a sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating. For easy legibility in low-light conditions, the watch features luminescence on the hands and hour points. The watch features a combination of solar movement, GPS-controlled time. With a case diameter of 42.9 mm and a height of just 12.2 mm, the watch fits perfectly on most men's wrists. Water resistance of this model is 100 m, so you can swim with the watch without any problems.

1) Second (dual) time

Thanks to the sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position, you always know what time it is at home when you are just traveling or in your destination city on business. The 12-hour time display ensures easy readout. A morning (am) and afternoon (pm) time indication is also an added feature.

2) Date and day of the week display

The watch is equipped with a classic windowed date display at the half past five position and a sub-dial day display at the 3 o'clock position.

1) High-quality GPS and solar technology

Thanks to the ultra-low power consumption of the Seiko GPS module, the watch is able to receive GPS signals to recognize time zones, time and date using a global network of satellites. Seiko Astron watches are completely energy self-sufficient and draw all their energy from sunlight. There is no need to change the battery.

2) Flight Mode

To ensure the watch does not interfere with the electronics on the plane, it can be switched to flight mode. In this mode, GPS signal reception is disabled.
