First, it is important to know a few facts and details about the recipient. Below I summarize the basic factors for selection:

1. Does he wear a watch at all, or is he just a smart watch user, or does he use the watch for sports?
2. Does he prefer a mechanical watch or a different movement?
3. Does he wear a watch every day?
4. Does he have one watch or several and is he a bit of a "chrono patient"?
5. What style does he prefer - sports, elegance, bigger / smaller watches, ... divers?
6. Does he prefer a watch with a pull or a leather/textile/silicone strap?

The recipient wears one watch. He doesn't like changing his watch several times a week or even daily - yes, you read that right - there are people like that among us. Then it would be advisable to choose something universal. A model that can be worn daily, to the office, with a shirt, but also for a trip or a beer with friends. In short, you don't have to worry about the watch not being appropriate for a business meeting or dinner, but you won't look weird with it in the woods either.

At the same time, I think that someone who has more watches should have such an "everyday watch". Water watch

They are also called divers. They are mostly characterized by increased resistance, water resistance, screw-down crown, rotating bezel and good readability even in low light conditions. Also related to this is the larger case size.

But don't be fooled. Divers are not only worn for water, diving, but many of us wear them daily, to work at the computer - for so-called office diving. If the man is a collector, or perhaps he is not particularly elegant and often wears a suit, then you can definitely not go wrong with nice divers. Suit, Smart casual and elegance. There are times when even the guy from the workshop looks like George Clooney and wants to give a well-groomed and edgy impression to those around him. It doesn't even remotely have to be a businessman who wears a suit from morning to night. He likes to change his watch according to the event or the mood. And this more elegant, dress watch will be able to take to a family dinner, a ball, or to the theater.

Quality QUARTZ and other drive

Quartz, or if you prefer, battery-powered watches, are certainly not inferior in quality to their movement, mechanical variants. I think that the times when a watch collector was ashamed to have "flashlights" are long gone. And if you have a really good QUARTZ movement, it's a priceless watch. Someone might argue that such a watch has no soul, but I dare to disagree completely.

Not having to wind the watch or deal with its reserve is sometimes an advantage over advantages. Add to this the very precise operation and comfortable dimensions of the case. I see this as the biggest benefit of the battery drive. Plus, not everyone wants a mechanical watch. Specifically, for a person who is not kissed by a chrobobundus, there is a risk that he will not appreciate mechanical watches at all and, on the contrary, will prefer carefreeness and convenience.

Someone uses a smart watch only as a tracker for sports activities, someone wears it 24/7 for notifications, or monitoring sleep, heart rate, oxygenation. You can have several variants. So I was really looking forward to this category! Every chrono patient and watch lover must have something unusual, interesting and a little crazy in their collection. But it is not only about the watch perversity of people who own more than two watches. Someone can really revel in novel models. I think we can compare it to clothes, glasses, etc. We want to wear things we like, and at the same time we don't want to be a dime a dozen. This unusual category is just for these people.
