The Seiko Prospex SSC813P1 Speedtimer, is one of the new products referring to the legendary Seiko 6139 (Seiko Speedtimer), one of the first chronographs with an automatic movement, which was the first to use a column wheel and a vertical clutch.

Seiko SSC813P1 is a very good sports model, recalling the historic achievements of Seiko, which in 1964 introduced a stopwatch that allowed time to be measured to fractions of seconds, becoming the official timekeeper of many sporting events. An interesting feature of the 1964 stopwatch was the use of an innovative mechanism with heart-shaped cams, allowing for very precise measurement. This was followed in 1969 by the introduction of the Seiko 6139, one of the first chronographs with an automatic movement, which was the first to use a column wheel and a vertical clutch.

The case and bracelet of the Seiko SSC813P1 are made of stainless steel with a brushed finish. The white dial with contrasting sub-dials (called panda dial) is equipped with a data and stopwatch functions. The stopwatch can be controlled by side buttons - the upper stopwatch starts and stops, the lower stopwatch resets the measured values. They can be used to measure up to hourly intervals with 1/5 second accuracy. In addition, the watch is equipped with a 24-hour time display at the 3 o'clock position. The dial is protected by a sapphire glass with high scratch resistance. The sporty touch is supported by a tachymetric scale on the lunette, thanks to which, together with the use of a stopwatch, the speed of a moving object can be measured. The advantage of the model is the solar drive, in which the watch's battery is powered by natural and artificial light, at the same time, thanks to its longer service life, it eliminates the need for regular 2 to 3-year replacement. The water resistance of this model is 100 m, so you can swim with the watch without any worries.
