The Seiko "Arnie" SNJ037P1 is a limited edition Prospex series watch, created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the world's first hybrid dive watch with alarm and stopwatch function. It is a novelty following the success of the diving models, based on the Seiko H558-5009 diving watch from the 1980s, which was the first diving watch with a combined dial (analogue and digital) equipped with an alarm and stopwatch. The model will be available in 4000 pieces.

Reminiscent of the Seiko H558 series, the Seiko SNJ037P1, also nicknamed Arnie, is one of the iconic diving watches within the brand, primarily due to its association with Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as its features, its proven case shape and, last but not least, its superb craftsmanship. They earned their nickname thanks to their appearance in the American films Commando (1985) and Predator (1987), where they could be seen on the wrists of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played the lead roles, Colonel Matrix and Major Allan Schaefer, called Dutch. The watch was involved in expeditions to the North and South Poles, as well as the ascent of Everest by an international group of explorers in 1988.

The Seiko SNJ037P1 is powered by a new generation solar-powered H855 movement, equipped with alarm, stopwatch and automatic calendar functions. But more interestingly, it brings a depth gauge and a dive log (up to 100 dives). After descending to a depth of 1.6m, the dive recording is automatically switched on, after ascending to a depth of 1.5m the recording is interrupted and if the depth does not drop below 1.6m within 10 minutes, the recording is switched off and the data is saved. A digital display moved to the 6 o'clock position at the time of the dive shows the current depth information. The watch can also warn of surfacing too quickly.
The model features an unusual (but typical for Seiko) design. On the round case made of steel with PVD surface treatment, there is a protective wreath made of hardened plastic, called a shroud, protecting the black rotating lunette (with a scale for easy measurement of dive time) and the watch body itself. Its design allows flawless operation of the lunette. In addition, the watch also has a screw-down crown and a dial. The case is suitably complemented by a steel bracelet. The clear and easy-to-read combination dial is protected by a Hardlex (hardened mineral) glass. Excellent luminescence and LED illumination ensure better legibility during low-light conditions. With a case size of 46.9 mm, the watch has a water resistance of 200 m.
