The Orient Star RE-ND0017L Classic Semi Skeleton Seaside at Dawn Limited Edition watchoffers a clean and elegant design that makes it a suitable accessory to a dress or suit. However, its qualities can also be appreciated in everyday wear.
The watch is a representation of the scenery that takes place by the sea just after sunrise. The rose gold colour on the lunette, hands and indices symbolises the warm morning sunlight, while the transition from green in the centre of the dial to dark blue on its outer edges symbolises the emerald green serpentine sea and deep blue sky.
The case of the Orient Star RE-ND0017L00B is made of stainless steel with gold-coloured elements (lunette and crown), and inside it we find the Orient 55C22 in-house mechanical movement. This self-winding movement offers a power reserve of around 40 hours. Of course, there is a function to stop the second hand when setting the time ( hacking). Many will be pleased to see the movement's flywheel at the 9 o'clock position, the so-called "open heart". The movement, operating at a frequency of 21,600 half-beats/hour, can be observed thanks to the transparent caseback.
The simple, timeless, perfectly clear green-blue dial is protected by a slightly domed mineral crystal. The watch delights with its details, which include delicate rose-gold hands, a shape-interesting signed crown with cabochon, Roman numerals at the hour positions, and a domed glass effect. The watch is not lacking in overall fineness of detail and exceptional quality of workmanship. The versatility of the watch is enhanced by the supplied steel bracelet finished with a butterfly clasp. The water resistance of this model is 50 m, so the watch can easily withstand normal contact with water, such as rain or, exceptionally, a shower. Thanks to its specific look and 30.5 mm case diameter, it is a great choice when choosing an elegant ladies' watch.
