The history of Auguste Reymond's watchmaking began in 1898, when the 26-year-old entrepreneur decided to assemble a small team of watchmakers to produce the pocket watch that bears his name today. In 1910, his factory in Tramelan, Switzerland already had more than a hundred employees and became one of the main employers in the region.
In 1920, Auguste Reymond became one of the first companies to use seals and shock absorbers in wristwatches. From the early 1930s, the Auguste Reymond manufactory began producing watches with chronometers, chronographs, moon phases and alarms.
In 2019, the company acquired a new owner. It has passed into the hands of a family already renowned for its extraordinary inventive spirit, while deliberately remaining independent. Auguste Reymond is already well-known in Europe and Russia and the aim will be to further raise the firm's profile and reposition itself while remaining true to the firm's original values. A new chapter has thus opened and a new philosophy of time is taking shape.
