The German Laco Augsburg Polar 42.PR is a limited edition watch limited to just 250 pieces. At first glance, it catches the eye with its atypical white dial and classic pilot design, which is characterized by its cleanliness and great clarity, making it very popular not only among watch fans.
Laco presents a striking new version of its classic pilot's watch in the form of the Augsburg Polar and Aachen Polar models, which impress with their shimmering metal indices on a white treasure. The third limited edition in the core collection of pilot-tuned watches takes inspiration from the frigid polar environment. The white dial, accompanied by the harmonious interplay of thermal blue hands and blue metallic shiny indices, brings the watch closer to the atmosphere of the Arctic. The bright reflections and the change in the colour of the indices from deep blue to azure depending on the incidence of light, recall the fascinating play of light between the dark polar sea and the glittering glaciers.
The steel case of the Laco Flieger Augsburg Polar 42.PR is complemented by a brown leather strap with contrasting light stitching and distinctive rivets. It is powered by a mechanical movement with Laco 31 self-winding movement (based on Miyota 831A), offering a power reserve of around 60 hours, blued screws, a stop-seconds function when setting the time (hacking) and the option of manual winding. Many will enjoy the possibility to observe the movement through a transparent caseback with a sapphire crystal. The water resistance of this watch is 50 m (5 ATM), so it can handle swimming. The case diameter is 42 mm, the length (lug-to-lug) is 50 mm, so the watch fits well on most men's wrists.
The classic hallmarks of the Laco Augsburg Polar 42.PR, inspired by aviation style, include distinctive and easy-to-read hands and indices at the hour positions, a large crown that is easy to operate even with gloves. The perfectly clear A-type dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Better legibility in low light conditions is ensured by the Superluminova C3 Blue Line luminescence on the hands, numerals and indices. The watch hands are thermal blue.
Limited edition of only 250 pieces. We have the last piece in this configuration with the Laco 31 movement.

The origin of the Laco brand dates back to 1925, when Frieda Lacher and Ludwig Hummel founded a company called Lacher & Co in Pforzheim, hence the name Laco. The brand is best known for its pilot watches produced during World War II - it was one of the five brands that produced watches for German Luftwaffe pilots.
