The Cuervo y Sobrinos brand returns to the traditions of the 1950s and tries to capture their period charm. The current Historiador Tradicion San Rafael model is therefore a modern reincarnation of a much-loved classic. What's more, it is a limited edition of just 188 pieces made for the whole world.

The case of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Tradicion San Rafael 3195.1SR.A is made of stainless steel. Inside is a Swissmechanical movement with automatic winding CYS 5203 (based on the Sellita SW 240-1). It operates at a frequency of 28800 A/h, is fitted with 26 jewels and boasts a power reserve of 38 hours. The oscillating weight with engraving is also an interesting detail. However, we cannot see this as the back of the watch is not transparent. Instead, we can admire the engraving, which depicts the brand's former boutique on Calle San Rafael in Havana and the name Cuervo y Sobrinos in italics.

The clear, finely gridded dial is done in white. It was inspired by the original dial motif used on the original 1950s model. The indices are decorated in rose gold. At the 6 position we find a subtle display of the date and day of the week. A thin seconds hand topped with a red arrow also attracts attention. Everything is protected by a double rounded sapphire crystal, inspired by vintage style.

With a case diameter of 40 mm, the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Tradicion San Rafael 3195.1SR.A fits most men's wrists. It is complemented by a matte honey-coloured alligator leather strap. Water resistance is set at 5 ATM, so the watch can handle light contact with water, for example when washing hands.
